So that your furry friend can enjoy his HelloBello meals as soon as possible, we've put together the best tips for you here. Since our packs arrive frozen, proper thawing is important to preserve all the valuable nutrients:
The gold standard: Overnight in the fridge
This is the gentlest method, which keeps all the vitamins optimally preserved. Simply place the frozen roll in the fridge in the evening.
💡 Important: Before the food goes into the bowl, please let it sit for about 15–30 minutes at room temperature. Never serve it straight from the fridge, as this can quickly cause stomach ache in dogs.
The standard method: At room temperature
If you need it to go a bit faster (or you forgot to take a roll out the evening before), you can simply let the pack thaw at room temperature outside the fridge for a few hours.
When it needs to be quick: The warm water bath
Your dog is hungry now and the roll is still rock-hard? Then you can place the unopened packaging in a warm water bath.
💡 Please note: The water must not boil (maximum 80 °C)! Boiling water would damage the packaging and "cook to death" the heat-sensitive nutrients in the food.
🚨 Please never use the microwave!
Please do not under any circumstances heat our packaged meals in the microwave. The film is not suitable for this. In addition, the microwave heats the food extremely unevenly – dangerous "hot spots" can form, which could burn your dog's mouth.
